Obsessed with: Writing

Although I just spent one week on a business trip and caught a Scottish cold, I feel awake and focused. I finally feel I can start writing again. And not just fanfic, but something that's my own.
I've made many attempts at writing, but always took the easy way out - taking characters that someone else had created, moving within perimetres set by them, sticking to their rules.
Whenever I posted something personal in blogs or forums, I'd do so in English. On one hand, I felt that I could express myself better and clearer in English than in my mother tongue - but in reality, this was just another way of distancing myself from what I'd written. I'd use the computer, making it easier to delete things, to censor myself.
For the first time in fifteen years, I will start writing again. With pen and paper. I will have to weigh my words carefully, think before I put them down.
I'm looking forward to it.

Back to work

Wearing: Black pinstriped cargo pants, pink turtleneck, zipped sweater striped in various hues of pink and red.
Watching: Documentary on millionaires in Germany. Cool castles.
Eating: Wholemeal bread with Gouda cheese and banana slices.
Drinking: Water.
Reading: National Geographic June 2006 edition - no real progress on that one yet.
Listening:
Obsessed with: Food commercials on tv - why do they hardly advertise "pure" food, but always pre-cooked stuff and make it sound like cooking is a chore or burden instead of a fun, meditative, communicative act?

Obsessed with: Merriam-Webster's words of the day: fatidic (of or relating to prophecy), einsteinify (to overcalculate one's decisions or choices)

It's windy, grey and rainy outside. I love it. We just took a walk and enjoyed the cold drops on our faces. It felt great to feel the wind blow away the cobwebs, and to breathe easier.
